New affordable land has been released by the Western Australian state government in Broome North, at Waranyjarri Estate.

“For the 16 single residential lots ranging from 486sqm to 857sqm, prices start at $159,000, while the duplex lots, sized from 700sqm, prices start at $275,000,” Mr Grylls said.
“These very reasonable prices demonstrate the Government is committed to providing affordable land in a region where, not too long ago, reasonably priced land was hard to come by.
“As a further incentive for newcomers to the housing market, the five lowest priced lots are reserved for first homebuyers.”
The Minister said the land release came after considerable interest in the estate had been generated since the April opening of the Waranyjarri Estate Display Village which showcased eight new homes specially designed for Broome’s climate and lifestyle.
“Houses in the village embody a range of design ideas that address climate responsiveness and energy efficiency solutions,” he said.
Construction works are already under way on a further 99 lots in Stages 9 and 10 of the Waranyjarra and these could be released next year depending on demand.
The land is expected to house 13,000 people.
