New community for the Hunter Valley
A major new community, where more than 1,800 homes will be built, is potentially being developed in New South Wales’ Hunter Valley, according to a recent announcement.
Further comments are currently being sought on the ‘Huntlee’ project, and will include a town centre, 1,521 residential lots, of which some will be multi-dwelling, and associated infrastructure.

The 355 hectare project has already undergone revision, reducing the plans by 180 lots and 240 dwellings than initially proposed, with an increase in land for the town centre (to 57.5 hectares).
A future primary school will also potentially be developed down the line, with the NSW Government requesting a dedicated three hectares of land.
This school will be developed before the 800th dwelling, the scheme indicates.
The proposal is currently up for comment until 2nd November.
