"With this new subdivision, a total of 110 lots of lands will be available for affordable housing development for low income Tasmanians in Clarendon Vale," Ms O'Connor said.
"New affordable homeownership is also part of the changing face of Clarendon Vale and Rokeby by providing a greater mix of housing options."
The subdivision is being funded under the Australian government's Housing Affordability Fund.
Ms O'Connor said new homeownership opportunities were being delivered as part of the Better Housing Futures program announced last year.
Interested contractors need to be pre-qualified with the Department of Treasury and Finance to tender projects under the Roads and Bridges Category: R2-Roadworks up to $2 million and F2-Financial level up to $2 million.
The Tender will close at 2pm, Friday 22 February 2013.
