Land release sells out in south west Sydney

Defence Housing Australia’s (DHA's) last release of the Heartwood residential development in south west Sydney sold out within four hours at the weekend.

The last 25 land lots of the residential development at Voyager Point were priced between $371,000 and $468,000.

DHA managing director Peter Howman said pent-up buyer demand was responsible for the quick sales.

“Land lots like these are rare in the hustle and bustle of Sydney, and this just shows that buyers want the lifestyle and amenities that Heartwood and DHA have to offer.”

DHA said the new community is enveloped by bushland, which stretches south west for more than 70 kilometres and is named after the ‘heartwood’ of the mahogany trees that surround Voyager Point.

“This community was designed to promote connectivity throughout the existing area with new cycle ways and walkways linking to the bushland and river,” Mr Howman said.

Civil construction on the residential development was recently completed and construction of the DHA properties will commence at the end of this month.

DHA will retain 42 land lots for Defence members and their families, with the rest sold to the open market.
