New apartments in Sydney suburb expected to take off

A suburb on Sydney’s upper north shore is experiencing increased investor interest due to the release of a new residential community.

Earlier this year, Defence Housing Australia (DHA) launched Crimson Hill in Lindfield with the sale of 10 land lots fetching up to $1.15 million each. Upon completion, the residential development will include 345 dwellings with a mix of freestanding homes, apartments and terraces.

On 30 November, DHA released apartments and terraces across two precincts – Hamilton Corner and Tubbs View – both named after Victoria Cross recipients from the Battle of Lone Pine.

DHA managing director Peter Howman said he expected a strong response to the release, which includes a collection of apartments and two-level terraces.

“Crimson Hill is a very special new community that has been eagerly received by the buyers of the first blocks of land released in August,” he said.

“We expect similarly strong reaction to the apartments, not just because of the location within such a beautiful bushland setting, but also because of the fantastic design and approach the architects have taken.”

Hamilton Corner will include 23 apartments and terraces, with four one-bedroom apartments, 12 two-bedroom apartments and seven double-storey three-bedroom terraces.

Tubbs View precinct includes 70 apartments set over two buildings of four levels each. The development includes eight one-bedroom apartments, 24 two-bedroom apartments and 28 three-bedroom apartments.
