New property analytics tool hits the market
Two powers in the investor and real estate sectors have partnered to deliver a new analytics tool for property investors.
The Property Investment Professionals of Australia (PIPA) have joined up with real estate portal realestate.com.au (REA Group) to give PIPA members access to property data from around Australia.
“The realestate.com.au sponsorship helps to ensure that PIPA continues to go from strength to strength as well as provides significant benefits to our growing membership through access to the country’s top real estate analytics,” said Peter Koulizos, chair of PIPA.
This partnership follows comments previously made by Mr Koulizos in a bid to improve the state of property investment advice in Australia. He is firmly supportive of more regulation in the property market.
“While professionals such as buyers’ agents, property accountants and mortgage brokers operate within regulated environments, property investment advice does not,” Mr Koulizos said previously.
“Not many Australians understand that, which is why so many continue to be the victims of property investment ‘advice’ from unscrupulous fly-by-nighters.
“Over the years, we’ve heard about Aussies losing hundreds of thousands of dollars because they trusted someone who was only concerned with lining their back pockets.”
On the partnership, Joseph Lyons, REA Group’s executive general manager of developer, commercial and media said the real estate portal was committed to connect property investors and experts.
“As a leading association of independent property advisors, the affiliation between the Property Investment Professionals of Australia and realestate.com.au is an important step in enabling more of those successful connections to help Australians realise their property goals,” he said.
