The top most liveable Adelaide suburbs revealed
Following on from data released earlier in the week that looked at affordable and liveable suburbs in Adelaide, suburbs that are considered to be even more liveable for a little bit extra have been revealed.
According to analysis by People’s Choice Credit Union of Adelaide suburbs, Happy Valley is the most liveable suburb in all of the city of Adelaide.

The list saw a pocket of north-eastern suburbs with their lower house prices, along with those more to the south due to being close to the city and having lower crime rates, according to People’s Choice Credit Union CEO Steve Laidlaw.
“It’s one thing to be able to afford to live somewhere – you also have to want to live there,” he said.
“Liveability can mean different things to different people, so we’ve looked at a broad range of factors that go behind the costs of buying a home: public transport links, driveability, crime rates, schools and economic prospects.”
This research from People’s Choice follows data released earlier in the week that focused on liveable suburbs that were also affordable in Adelaide, which was interpreted as less than 80 per cent of Adelaide’s median price.
People’s Choice spokesperson Stuart Symons said to Smart Property Investment previously that while Adelaide has not seen the dramatic heights in value growth seen previously in Sydney and Melbourne, it has not seen dramatic falls either, which may be contributing to the growth in South Australia being at a six-year high.
“It’s much more of a slow and steady kind of market that you typically see reasonable growth over time but not the massive peaks and troughs of the eastern seaboard, so if you’re going at a time like now where some of those ones are cooling off quite dramatically, I can image why Adelaide is definitely worth a look,” Mr Symons said.
“It always has been one of the more affordable and certainly, being a smaller city, a very liveable kind of place as well, so absolutely great place to live, but definitely a worthwhile investment as well.”
