"Our research shows that home owners in our region believe auctions are a successful way to attract motivated buyers, and most properties listed for auction are selling either pre-auction, at auction or just after auction," she said.
Ms Plummer said Raine & Horne Mooloolaba was in the process of converting a number of its property listings to auction sales.
"We are committed to getting good results for our vendors, and this is why we have chosen the auction process for our committed sellers.”
In addition to taking a larger number of properties to auction the agency is also staging combined in-room auctions where up to eight properties are auctioned during the same session.
As well as allowing investors to bid on more than one property, Ms Plummer said such an approach to auctions also safeguarded vendors against bad weather impacting buyer turnout and interest on the day.
