New beachside land release for Sydney
Sydney’s Sutherland Shire is set to become home to a significant new community following Australand’s announcement of its Greenhills Beach land release.
The new community is the first beachside land release in 30 years, according to Australand NSW general manager Nigel Edgar, and will feature natural space and parklands three times the size of the Royal Botanical Gardens, or half the size of Centennial Park.

“There is no comparable land release that offers beach access and parkland amenity of the scale and scope of Greenhills Beach in the Sydney metropolitan area,” Mr Edgar said.
“Greenhills Beach combines a beautiful beachside environment with natural fauna and flora that forms part of the coastal landscape.”
Adjoining the suburb of Cronulla, Greenhills Beach is positioned between Wanda Beach and the waters of Botany Bay, with entry from the main access road of Captain Cook Drive.
