Top South Australia rental yield suburbs October 2015
Just two of the highest-yielding suburbs in South Australia were located within the city of Adelaide, according to gross rental yield figures from CoreLogic RP Data.
The neighbouring suburbs, Elizabeth Park and Elizabeth Downs, achieving yields of 8.8 and 8.6 per cent respectively for units, are located over 30 kilometres from Adelaide CBD, ruling any blue-chip suburbs out of the top 10 yielding suburbs across the state.
A cluster of four neighbouring suburbs in the City of Port Pirie, north of Adelaide, also made the top 10 suburbs for highest rental yields. Solomontown and Port Pirie West saw house yields of 10.1 and 9.6 per cent respectively, while Risdon Park South and Risdon Park made the list for units, with yields of 9.1 and 9 per cent respectively.
Two of the remaining suburbs, Carrickalinga and Port Vincent, both coastal suburbs, topped the list for houses, achieving yields of 15.2 and 14 per cent respectively.
Inland suburb Peterborough, north of Adelaide, saw rental yields of 11.1 per cent for houses, while Berri topped the list for units with a 10.4 per cent rental yield.
